Egyptology and Archaeology, have become an ongoing fascination. This is evident by the regular programming on these subjects on A&E, the History and Discovery Channels. In addition after the events of 9/11 there is growing interest in the Islamic Culture and Religion as people seek to understand what has been previously unknown or misunderstood.

Khaled is interested in sharing his knowledge on these subjects. As an Egyptologist / Archaeologist with a strong interest in both ancient Egyptian & Islamic History - Art and Architecture - and having a license to guide in Egypt - Khaled now resides in Canada and is available for: Lectures, Public Talks and Presentations, Group guiding Arabic/English translations and Assistance with any Egyptian projects.

Qualifications:



-Graduated from Cairo university-Faculty of Engineering.
-Diploma in urban development projects for the areas surrounding the ancient monuments.
-A post graduate degree in Tourism, Archaeology and Egyptology.
-Fluent in written and spoken English and Arabic,Fair Italian and German.
-Freelance work experience for several companies, particularly in and around Cairo,  Luxor,Aswan,Sinai and Alexandria.

-Urban development of the communities around tomb of the nobles Thebes.
-Scientific ways to protect the Egyptian monuments.
-The building of the Egyptian museum.
-Ottoman monuments in Cairo.
-The Minarets ,Islamic Unique landmarks.

For several years Khaled has been involved with the Center of Egyptian Civilization studies organizing Educational Tours to Egypt for students and youth from the States/Japan/England and other countries. These studies included sightseeing, condensed courses on Egypt, the social life, ethnic groups, architecture and Islamic heritage.
He continues as a member of the Tour Guide Association of Egypt .

Through the Egyptian Civilization Center and many Tourism Associations he has hosted, managed, guided and taught many subjects on Tourism, Egyptology and Archaeology to individuals and groups.
Khaled designed new programs including Arabic classes and Arabic city planning for old Cairo and Coptic Cairo. This included showing the traditional ways of building hot climate houses, building with the people in mind, mud brick houses, domed and vaulted houses, the Islamic heritage, the beliefs, the women, the history and ethnic groups in Egypt.

In 1998 he participated in setting up a large festival entitled “Gourna Egyptian Treasures Under Siege” to preserve the tombs of the Nobles in western Thebes (Luxor) and protect the local crafts the social culture of the people living around the tombs.

In 2000 he was involved in a project at the Baris Oasis celebrating the history of Hassan Fathy the world famous Egyptian architect and thinker.
